The staff is very pleasant and friendly. Class instructors Cinda for Yoga, Anne Marie Hunter for Zumba, Tracy for body conditioning and Gina for body pump are totally awesome. The only thing is the toilets are always out of seat covers and not cleaned regularly.

My first day at the NYS Club I given a tour of the club. My second visit I met with my fitness instructor and he analyze my fitness and gave me a schedule of exercises to follow. Then, I spent some time in the steam room and the sauna. The pool is not working at this time, but I expect that it will be working very soon. PS: The fitness instructor is a extra expensive!

I’ve noticed every time I visit your gym, attendees do not clean the equipment they’ve just used. In addition, attendees when using an exercise equipment, they linger by the equipment checking their cell. This while another person is waiting to use that same equipment. It would be great to make an announcement every hour notifying your customers in a pleasant manner. Thank you!

As a member on and off for over 8 years, I cannot in good conscience recommend this gym. Front desk staff is nice , but some of the class instructors are downright horrible. Specifically the yoga instructor is very unwelcoming and rude. This gym is unfortunately not what it used to be. Worn down machines, dirty bathrooms with no hooks, and the weights are never organized. Membership prices are very high considering the lack of amenities, old bathrooms, no guest passes, and lack of machines. The prices have become absolutely insane, and you have to pay at least 1.50 for an hour of parking just to enter the gym with NO parking validation. If you ever want to bring a guest, it’s $30 on top of the minimum $50 you’ll be spending a month. Unfortunately planet fitness is definitely a better option if you are in the area and is half the price for membership and guests! It’s very sad because some of the staff is incredibly kind and you can tell they care about the members. However, if you are not already a pro at the gym you will feel unwelcome in certain classes and not get the same treatment as other people.

They’ve cleaned up the club beautifully and made sure there’s lots of space to find my own lil’ spot to stretch, heck, even meditate. I appreciate that they’ve stopped marketing the pool as being under repair and simply say that they hope to open it again. Andrew gave me a great assessment today. That it’s walkable from my downtown flat is true city living.
